For the expert skier, skiing in Val d'Isere and neighbouring Tignes offers over 300km of piste to explore. There are vast areas of off-piste skiing, particularly in the Col d'Iseran area which is best tackled with a guide. Also try skiing the famous World Cup downhill run or the black mogul field of the Face. Val d'Isere also has a snowpark in the Bellevarde area.

Skiing Val d'Isere - Beginners Start Free!
Skiing in Val d'Isere for beginners is initially free! The nursery slopes in the village are free of charge to help you gain your technique. Higher up the beginners slopes allow you to practise your skiing and meet you more advanced friends for lunch in the many restaurants up there. The ski schools in the Val d'Isere area also have a very good reputation.
