Morzine is a traditional Alpine village in the heart of the massive Portes Du Soleil region. With links to 13 other resorts on just one lift pass Morzine really does have something for everyone.

In the winter Morzine attracts all kinds of visitors from beginners to families to expert skiers and snowboarders taking advantage of the well maintained snow parks and off piste opportunities in the surrounding areas. To keep an eye on the latest weather and snow conditions, see the Morzine snow report which is updated by locals living in Morzine or see the Morzine snow forecast.

For non-skiers Morzine offers a wide range of alternative activities such as shopping in the traditional boutique shops, indoor ice-skating, snow-shoeing, sledge rides, ice diving, parapenting and horse and cart trips. Morzine even has a local cheese factory open to visitors!

There are several good ski schools in Morzine to cater for the beginner skier. Although the nursery slope at Le Pleney can get a little crowded at times it is a great place to start and once you have progressed Morzine skiing has lots of wide, gentle blue slopes to perfect your moves! See the Morzine webcams or the Morzine piste map.

Once the snow has melted and the skis are packed away Morzine is stunning. With a huge range of activities to suit all interests and ages, it is the perfect place to spend your summer holiday. You can choose from white water rafting, climbing, hiking, via ferrata, parapenting, golf to name a few. There is even an Olympic sized outdoor pool in the centre of Morzine to cool down in on those hot mountain days. If mountain biking is your thing then Morzine is the place to be. The Super Morzine and Pleney lifts are both open during the summer months to give you access to the fantastic trails and down hill courses in the Portes du Soleil region.

If you fancy exploring the area further, Morzine is a great base from which to visit the nearby towns of Annecy, Yvoire, Lake Geneva and Evian to name a few.

The night life in Morzine is generally quite relaxed. There are several bars in Morzine and cafes for après ski, lots of restaurants offering traditional regional foods such as raclette and fondue. There are also plenty of places to stop for a quick pizza or crepes. Morzine also has a couple of lively bars open until the early hours and there are two clubs open when everything else has shut! For something different why not head to the indoor ice rink and support Morzine's ice hockey team every Wednesday evening.

The nearest airport to Morzine is Geneva just over an hours drive away. From here you can hire a car or catch a bus. There are also several Morzine ski transfer companies you can book with beforehand, which can work out a cheaper option if you are travelling in a large group.

There are also a number of Morzine ski hire companies that offer a range of services from pre-booking online to delivery to your accommodation ready for arrival.
