Les Gets Summertime Weather Report

The temperatures have increased to the mid 20s and the sun and blue sky is offering fantastic conditions for the mountain bikers and hill walkers. Dont forget that Les Gets is open all summer and has plenty of activities on offer for everyone. The swimming lake in the centre of Les Gets is a great place to sun bathe and relax, then cool off with a quick dip in the water!

Chamonix New Snowfall

Lots of snow forecast above 1300m over the next couple of days. Expected snowfall towards 1500metres 60-90cms over next 72 hours.

7 days of snow!

The snow has finally arrived in Les Gets! It has snowed yesterday and today, and the weatherman says it will snow for the next 7 days! Conditions are good, the runs are great at the moment, super smooth. A few are still closed but they are expected to open in the next day or so when the bashers get them sorted. Off piste is starting to become a possibility, I've done a few great off piste runs, perfect light powder though a bit shallow so will be better in a day or two, especially in the highest areas of the Portes Du Soliel.

Best conditions so far this season

Les Gets, Morzine and Avoriaz are all fully open and conditions are good. On the lower slopes there are a couple of patches where ice and stones are present, but the snow guns are all going 24/7 so all the bad bits will be covered up soon enough. Higher up fantastic snow both on and off piste are offering the best conditions so far this season. If you haven't booked a holiday yet, now is the time to do so. Rumours of more snow on the 2nd Feb during the full moon cycle!

20cm overnight.

The snow is really coming now. 20cm fell in Les Gets the night before last and it looks as though over 50cm of snow will fall this week. Fresh powder...awesome!
