Bar Robinson is a small bar in the center of Morzine village that has become a well known drinking spot.

Bar Robinson serves just one beer on tap, Mutzig. This is probably the main reason that Bar Robinson is known among holiday makers in Morzine. It is a great place to unwind after a hard day out skiing or snowboarding.

There is a no music policy in place in Bar Robinson which adds to the atmosphere rather than taking away from it. The bar and seating area are small and the noise of banter among the drinkers soon becomes so loud that you need to shout to the person sitting next to you. Mutzig is a strong beer so be warned. Most seasoned visitors to Bar Robinson drink Mutzig in halves (or demis as they know in France of course) as Mutzig is a lot stronger than you first realise.

Bar Robinson is run by a charming elderly Morzinois couple known as Mr and Mrs Robinson (whether or not those are their true names is still under debate). Last orders is at 7:30 pm and roll out time is 8:00 pm.

How to get to Bar Robinson

To Bar Robinson from the Town Hall (La Marie)
Very easy. Standing outside La Marie, you will see a bridge crossing the river that is lined with a few international flags from around the world. Cross the bridge and start walking up the road (a small gradient) and you will very soon pass the Dixie Bar on your right and the SAT bus office. Right next door is Bar Robinson.

To Bar Robinson from the Tourist Office (Office de Tourisme)
Standing outside the tourist office, look out for a small tabac (small shop licensed to sell cigarettes), the sign is bright red and the shop is next to two banks. Walk past the tabac and keep on that road as it descends. You'll soon reach the green railing on the left side of the road. You are on track, follow this rail down, past the large Intersport (sport shop) and keep going, Bar Robinson will appear on your left after about 4 or 5 minutes walk.
