6 - 12 Inches of Powder

Wednesday evening and night brought between 6 - 12 inches of new powder snow. Followed by a clear blue sky on Thursday. Perfect conditions. Off-piste throughout the Portes du Soleil was amazing yesterday!

Plenty of Sunshine

Great conditions on the mountain today. Hard packed pistes with light powder snow of the sides and still plenty of off-piste available.

15cm to 20cm of snow expected overnight.

Beautiful Sunshine Day

In four weeks, it has been mostly cloudy with just the occasional burst of sunshine. Finally, the sun has returned. Great conditions on the mountain with another inch or so or fresh snow last night. Fantastic freshly groomed pistes. Great visibility!

Solid Base with New Snow

An couple of inches of new snow overnight on Thursday on an already great base. Off piste still great throughout the Portes du Soleil, head further afield for the best of it. Pistes in Morzine and Avoriaz all well groomed compared to previous days which suffered a little due to heavy new snow.

Snowy Peaks

From my Rude Chalets office window in Chalet Christophe I have a beautiful view over the now snow covered peaks of Avoriaz. Both the drop in temperature and the herds of goats heading back down the mountain are sure signs of imminent early season snow and the start of the winter season - horrayy!! Hopefully we will be hiking for freshies next week!
