Owners Description
Chalet Pension Sonnleitn is owned and run by British ski enthusiasts Craig and Katharine. It is located in a quiet spot, just 2km from Nassfeld Ski Arena, with stunning views of the Carnic Alps that border Italy.
There is a free shuttle bus Stopping just 200m from the chalet's front door which arrives within minutes to the Millennium Express gondola. In no time you will be looking forward to a fantastic day on the resort's 110 km of snow sure pistes.
Accommodation is spacious and the facilities are excellent at Chalet Pension Sonnleitn including a FREE sauna, WiFi internet, a games room, free use of sledges to use on a nearby slope, table tennis and table football.
After a fun day on the slopes and perhaps a few hours in one of the lively après ski bars, guests can return to afternoon tea, coffee or hot chocolate and traditional Austrian cakes and biscuits.
A hearty four course evening meal consisting of home made soup and bread, main course, with salad buffet and wine included followed by dessert and coffee is provided six days a week in our cosy candlelit dining room.
Cook's night off on a Wednesday gives guests the opportunity to explore local restaurants or perhaps try night skiing on Europe's longest floodlit piste.
The chalet has a choice of single rooms, double rooms, triple rooms and a family suite. Most have balconies with stunning views of the local mountains and on into Italy. All bedrooms are non-smoking, comfortable and spacious with charming Austrian wooden furniture, en-suite facilities and satellite tv.
Craig is on hand to accompany guests to the ski hire office, ski schools and ticket office and is happy to advise on the best the area has to offer. He can also pre-book any lessons, passes and equipment to help get your holiday off to a good start.
The chalet is suitable for individuals, couples, small or large groups or families and corporate breaks and is available on either a group or room-by-room basis.
For large groups of 20 +, we can offer a special rate for exclusive use of the chalet.

Location
Chalet Pension Sonnleitn offers the best of both worlds as it is situated in a quiet village but within easy reach of Nassfeld Ski Arena and the resort centre.
Guests can take advantage of a regular free shuttle bus which stops just 200m from the front door and takes just 10 minutes to reach the Millennium Express gondola.
The chalet is only 300m from the railway station and is surrounded by sign posted walks for all levels of difficulty and cycle tracks.
The chalet is southerly facing and has stunning uninterrupted views of the Italian Carnic Alps and ski slopes.
