La Bergerie de Montalbert is a newly built prestigious chalet style apartment building set at the foot of the slopes and in the charming village of Montalbert-La Plagne.
Sitting high above the village of Longefoy. Our apartment has uniterupted views across the Tarrantaise valley.
La Bergerie is directly opposite the ski kindergarten,ski school meeting place and is within 50 meters of the chair lift. The apartment is set right in the middle of the village which gives you access to ski hire, shops,bars and restuarnts the closest being less than 50 meters away.
Our apartment has two bedrooms and sleeps 5 comfortably and six with a little squeeze. It is ideal for family groups. It is comfortably decorated in the local Savoyard style and has a modern fitted kitchen with a diswasher, UK size bath and bathroom and a seperate WC. The main bedroom and living room both have balconies.
The skiing is superb throughout La Plagne and its varied slopes offer a a great learning ground for beginers, miles and miles of cruising for intermediates and some challenging 'blacks' and off piste for experts. Thanks to La Plagnes investment in snow canons, skiing back to Montalbert is virtually guaranteed until the end of the season.
Facilities
The accomodation is made up of a double bedroom, bunk bed room with pull out bed with a sofa bed sleeping two in the lounge.
The bedroom and living room have balconies. The Bathroom has a full size bath with shower and there is a seperate WC.
Guests have access to the lockable ski locker in the basement
Montalbert-La Plagne is around 10 hours drive from Calais.
Closest airports are Chambery,Grenoble,Geneva and Lyon
Eurostar train stops at Aime which is less than 10km away by taxi
Location
Montalbert sits on a sunny plateaux nestled below forested slopes. As part of the La Plagne -Paradiski ski area there are over 420km of marked runs starting at the door step!
Montalbert is a traditional village with no high rise architecture. Unlike many of the high altitude resorts many of thepeople who work in the village live here all year round. Many of our guests comment on how warm and friendly the atmosphere is and what great service they have had from restuarant and bar owners.
The village has over 10 bars and restuarants which provide varied cuisine from local Savoyard specialities, Italian food and even a Tex Mex dinner. The local 'pub' has a pool table and there is even a night club for those who feel up to it!
The ESF ski school provides lessons for all stages from beginers through to experts. They are particularly good with children and they have a good reputation. There is a kindergarten with a snow garden directly in front of the apartment where they will be in safe hands and learning to have fun in the snow
