Owners Description
Chalet Motdit is situated in a traditional mountain hamlet in the French alps. Chalet Motdit is family run offering international cuisine. Your holiday can start and end on any day of the week for at least three days in the ski season and two days in the rest of the year. Our prices start from as low as £25pppn with a 10% discount for groups. We also offer child discounts for children aged between 4 and 15yrs with no charge for any under 4's. Travel costs are not included and there is no smoking in the chalet.

Facilities
Chalet Motdit has been renovated from an old farmhouse and has combined traditional Savoyarde with contemporary decor. The four bedrooms are on two floors. The first room is ensuite, accommodates 2 or 3 persons, and has a balcony. The three remaining larger rooms can accommodate 4 or 5 persons each and share toilet and bathroom facilities on two floors.
The ground floor is open plan and has kitchen, dining and lounge areas. There are two fires - the multifuel stove providing central heating throughout the chalet and the log burning stove providing additional heat to the ground floor. Very welcoming after a hard day's skiing.
The cuisine provided in the chalet is a combination of local French and International dishes. The Chalet menu includes many of the following dishes: raclette, tartiflette, pierrade, boeuf bourguignonne, chicken fricasse, duck boulangerie, lamb tagine, beef goulash, spicy meatballs, Thai/Indian curries and Chinese dishes. Vegetarian options are also available and wine is provided with the meal.
Location
Montvilliers is just 4km away from La Plagne ? Montalbert. The resort has snow making facilities, a free beginners drag lift, attractive tree lined pistes and links to the whole of the La Plagne ski domain. At La Plagne there is the Vanoise Express which links to Les Arcs creating the Paradiski area with over 460km of varied skiing to suit all levels of ability and experience.
The ski instructors for the ski school in Montalbert perform regular torchlight descents accompanied by free vin chaud and fireworks. As well as downhill skiing, there is a good amount of cross country skiing available. Non-skiers can enjoy:
- a huskie drawn sleigh ride.
- parapenting.
- snow shoe walks with professional guides.
- for the more daring, a ride on the Olympic bobsleigh run (in La Plagne 1800).
