Owners Description
Chalet Maria is an idyllic traditional Austrian Chalet in the exclusive mountain hamlet of Hintermoos.
This chalet is perfect for families from four to nine people, comprising of two separate chalet apartments (Maria 1 & Maria 2) that can be rented individually or together for larger parties. The chalet is split in to two separate almost identical halves, each having its own entrance and parking. There is a shared balcony allowing easy access between the two apartments if required.
Each apartment has two bed rooms with twin/double beds (Maria2 also has a bunk bed), a large reception area and WC. A wide marble spiral staircase leads upstairs, where there is a large lounge dining area with a wood burning fire, a bathroom with a shower and toilet and a fully equipped kitchen.
The balcony has an impressive un-obscured view across the valley with two separate seating areas to relax and watch the sun go down. Outside is parking for up to four cars and a small seating area.
Summer activities include Golf, Mountain Biking, Walking, Rafting, and Climbing, plus local attractions like the city of Salzburg to visit.
As of winter 2005 we are also offering Chalet Maria guests the option to come to Haus Salzburg for dinner. Haus Salzburg is only 10mins away where we are offering five course evening meals to our guests (Please ask for details). Plus use of the swimming pool and gardens.

Location
Chalet Maria is the perfect place to base a winter skiing holiday or a summer walking holiday with easy access to the slopes only 200m in each direction, allowing you to ski or walk from home. A rental car is advisable (remember to get snow chains for the winter!) to allow you to pop into the local town for food shopping or a wide choice of bars & restaurants. There is also a hotel/bar/restaurant in walking distance if you don't want to drive.
