Owners Description

Contact Owner Direct

Our chalet is a genuine 200 year-old 'chalet d'alpage' (a mountain house for humans and animals to live in together!) and has been lovingly restored using mainly old, locally sourced materials while the new fittings and facilities are 'state of the art' and of the highest quality (such as solar-powered under-floor heating). The chalet retains a real mountain atmosphere while also being comfortable and spacious.

La Grange d'Alice sleeps twelve comfortably in a mixture of double and twin rooms, many with their own ensuite bathroom/wc.

Sauna
The sauna is open daily from Afternoon Tea time to just before Dinner time.

Dining area and Salon
The kitchen, dining area and salon form a large open plan area occupying most of the ground floor of the chalet. It has log fire, creating an impressive but comfortable environment in which to eat, relax and unwind after a hard day on the slopes. TV and DVD/CD/Video player are available, and the Chalet Minibar is on-hand to provide you with drinks and refreshments.

At Ski Adventures good food is as important as good skiing. We aim to use locally produced ingredients wherever possible to produce tasty, wholesome meals served in a convivial atmosphere. Dinner is something we all look forward to, and each morning the evening's menu is chalked up in the dining room. Vegetarians, vegans and other dietary requirements will be catered for.

Red and White wine is served with the meal, and water and soft drinks are available.

Wine and Cheese Tasting
One evening a week, before dinner, guests will have the chance to try a selection of wines and cheeses from the Savoie region, in which we are located. The local wines range from the petillant Apremont to the distinctive red Mondeuse, and Beaufort, Reblochon and Tomme cheeses are never more delicious then when tasted so close to their place of origin. The tasting is informal and free of charge.

Facilities

The first floor has a small lounge area with DVD, tea/coffee making facilties and access to a large west-facing balcony and a south facing terrace with stunning views of the ski area. The sauna is located next to the large bathroom.

Location

La Grange d'Alice is situated a few minutes from Arc 1600, in the small village of Les Granges.

The chalet is at the foot of the Bois de Saule (blue), Granges (red) and Violettes (red) pistes and right next to the Les Granges funiculaire station and La Millerette lift.
