Facilities
Apartment Kandahar has been finished to a high standard and the kitchen, bathroom and bedrooms are all comfortable and well equipped. The terrace has excellent views and is accessed from large patio doors from the main bedroom and the living area. The lounge has a comfortable sofa and a TV, CD and DVD all-in-one player. The apartment comfortably sleeps 4 in 2 twin/double rooms.
We welcome families and can provide cots and high chairs on request
Location
Chamonix is the hub of this world famous ski and alpine area, situated in the north west of the Alps 15km from both the Italian and Swiss borders. Mont Blanc (4808m) and its chain of peaks dominate the valley. Chamonix is probably best known as the skiing and alpine capital of the world. As a destination it has a reputation for the extreme and this, whilst undoubtedly true, can mask a wide array of other sporting and leisure activities that can be enjoyed here. A Mecca for mountaineers, you can also walk the hundreds of miles of beautiful footpaths, try mountain biking, paragliding, play golf or just enjoy peace and quiet in a beautiful place.
Chamonix town has a cosmopolitan feel and a vast selection of restaurants and shops.
The town is at the foot of Mont-Blanc and following introduction of skiing in the early 1900s Chamonix hosted the first winter Olympic Games in 1924.
Geneva airport is just 80 kms away making for an exceptionally short transfer. A simple map is provided with final booking confirmation. The local supermarket and restaurants, bars and ski hire shops are 2 minutes away. Likewise the local FREE ski bus stop is also a couple of minutes away providing services to Brevent, Flegere, Les Praz, Les Grands Montets, Argentiere and Le Tour ski areas.
